Mr. Hunter discovered that one of his favorite shops from Paris also has a location in London!

Where was Mr. Hunter when he partied with these kitty umbrellas?

Harrods Pet Kingdom

Mr.  Hunter browsed the Harrods Pet Kingdom.  The store sells plenty of (expensive) pet supplies and accessories, but the most notable pet encounters were the animals themselves.

We encountered this adorable, velvety Shar-pei puppy.  She looked as soft as a teddy bear.  One nearby customer even asked if this puppy was real.  She was real, and her name was Maia.

We also saw a pair of Bengal kittens.

These Bengal kittens cost £1200 each.

Here's some video of the Bengal kittens being spotted and cute:

Harrods Food Halls

Mr. Hunter browsed the busy Harrods Food Halls.  He had hoped to find them selling some guanabana (aka soursop), but that was one of the few fruits that he didn't spot on the shelves.

Glittery donuts.

The hats of the Harrods Food Halls.

Ham hock & pea pies, Buffalo Phil pies

Cured ox tongue with jelly

Strawberry & Champagne Truffles, Pink Champagne Truffles

Bitong from South Africa

Mr. Hunter and some custard apples from Lebanon.

Cobnuts from France.
"Some people like to eat them with a salt."

Dragon Fruit!

Mr. Hunter almost resembles a Flat Mr. Hunter in this picture.

Hello Kitty at Harrods

Why, yes, Mr. Hunter did browse the store's selection of Harrods-themed Hello Kitty items!

And he bought one of these bright tote bags.

Harrods

Mr. Hunter tagged along on a shopping excursion to Harrods, where he explored the Harrods food halls, their super-expensive pet department, their selection of Hello Kitty items, their football (soccer) jerseys, and their huge collection of Christmas decorations.

Macarons at Ladurée

Mr. Hunter visited Paris back in 2010, and he still regrets not visiting one of Paris's famed Ladurée shops to sample some of their macarons.  So he was pleased to find a Ladurée outpost attached to Harrods.  (There's another London Ladurée located at Covent Garden.)

Which flavors will we choose?

Buckingham Palace

After the tour of the Buckingham Palace State Rooms, we walked home and took a little time to take pictures of the front of the palace.

Hey!  It's the Queen's Guard!

Scottish Unicorn

Mr. Hunter admired the Royal coat of arms, which features a lion and a unicorn.
